During the signing of the contracts with companies for financial aid the Deputy Minister of Economy Lyuben Petrov announced that with only one procedure, operational program “Innovations and Competitiveness” 2014 – 2020 more contracts were signed than the entire previous program period 2007-2013, by the scheme for modernization of the small and medium business.

Under the four procedures for technological modernization in the small and medium enterprises under “Competitiveness” 2007-2013 are signed a total of 650 contracts for nearly 400 million lev.

In the same time for just the first procedure of Operational Program “Innovations and Competitiveness” 2014-2020 have been signed 730 contracts with the small business for nearly 394 million lev.

Additional 134 million lev were allocated for technological modernization of the business. These resources have gone for the implementation of another 255 projects. They have been evaluated with more than 66 or even more points but they were not reached by the fund of the first planned budget under the procedure.

Finally the Deputy Minister of Economy Lyuben Petrov noted that the Bulgarian companies apply with increasingly higher quality projects.
